Reekado Banks is not just a great asset, after over five years of steady grind and consistency, he’s officially one of the top players, in the music industry today. With a handful of hits, he’s proven himself worthy of the highly controversial 2015 Next Rated Award he got, regardless of what anyone thinks.

10 Best Reekado Banks Collaborations Ever

Although, he’s not so huge on collaborations. In fact, at his peak, all of his hits were solo singles (Oluwa Ni, Standard, Problem, Easy). But that doesn’t mean he’s a loner, or he got no friends. A number of times, he’s done joint efforts with a couple of guys, and most are hits. Big hits at that.

Sweeping through his catalogue, here are ten huge songs from Reekado Banks that are collaborations with other artists.

    Mavins – Dorobucci

It was indeed the start of something big. Not only did it mark the beginning of the Mavins Empire, it also launched the careers of three new kids. Reekado was one of them. He actually did the hook of the song. I couldn’t have imagined the song better than it was, they all did good jobs.

If it counts, it’s Reekado’s first big hit, and still one of the biggest songs he’s ever appeared on. Dorobucci also featured Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage.

    Skiibii – Sensima

Honestly, Skiibii never really took off like many thought he would. Still one of the most underrated guys around here, the talented art has scored some hits, all of which are collaborations.

“Sensima” is kinda his biggest hit, ever. It came at a time Reekado was in high demand. Reekado simply tuned the vibe, delivered an electric guest verse that murdered the whole jam. He was actually doing a Tekno vibe there.

    Ycee – Link Up

At about the time Reekado Banks dropped his powerful debut, “Spotlight,” Ycee linked up with him and they did this hot one. Reekado on the hook, Ycee on the verses, it was like some American guys having fun on an afro-beat.

“Link Up” wasn’t just a hit, it was a big one. For both of them. Especially for Reekado, who needed to prove he has friends, here.

    Move ft Vanessa Mdee

Actually his single, but it won’t be fair not to include it here. Banks teamed up with Tanzania’s finest and hottest in diaspora, Vanessa Mdee, for “Move” a song which was an instant hit.

It’s everyday Reekado wants to move to the gyal, but it’s not everyday the gyal is a hot chic like Vanessa. So.

    Like ft. Tiwa Savage, Fiokee

He was literally on a spree at that time. He was dishing out singles, every now and then. “Like Me” happened to come at the right time. Not to forget, it came with the right artists on it. Tiwa Savage was enough.

You can’t imagine the song without Tiwa singing that “baby boy you be jailer, handcuff me, no go leave me oh. ” Really.

    illbliss – Jawonlaya

This was just veteran rapper, Illbliss, trying to make a hit by featuring two of the guys who were very hot at the time, Mr Eazi and Reekado Banks. It worked!

Everybody was featuring Mr Eazi at the time, actually. I don’t know how he decided to put Reeky on it, but that was a good one. Not to mention, the song is lit!

    DJ Tunez – Turn Up

Wizkid was on it, too. That’s probably all I need to say about it.

    Falz – Celebrity Girlfriend

At the very start of their careers, Falz and Reekado Banks hooked up and did this crazy one. They sang about all their celebrity crushes. Although Reekado only did the hook, on the dance hall song, it’s all perfect.

Many people, before “Soldier”, knew Falz from “Celebrity Girlfriend.” Thanks to Reekado Banks, it’s not an all-rap song. But it’s fun.

    Skiibii – London

Skiibii’s career without Reekado Banks is -2. Just after “Ah Skiibii” with Olamide, Skiibii did “London” and that was the time fans started taking him serious. And now we don’t even remember he died and rose again.

    Krizbeatz – Aminah

Krizbeatz is one of the best producers, on the continent and Rayvanny is killing the whole East Africa. A cross-over was imminent, and Reekado Banks was on the bang single, “Aminah.”

Life without Reekado Banks is boring, man.
