Whether confirmed or un-confirmed, there’s a possibility Wizkid and Tiwa Savage are dating. The romance, which started “officially” this year, has been rumoured all over social, and already it’s one of the most controversial topics in the industry, this year.
They’ve posted each other’s pictures, on Instagram, gone out together, and everything we’re made to know they were both rocking the same designers, just weeks ago. Wiz’s new friend, Davido, had even confirmed the rumours, when he had replied a Wizkid tweet with “Tiwa our sista oo.” And it went on to another level, at Wizkid’s sold out show, Afro Republik at the 02 Arena, in the UK. Wizkid had brought her on stage doing nasty moves with the Queen, as they performed. That seemed to be the last confirmation everyone needed.
Well, it appears, logically, the two singers are in an amorous relationship. But, the question is, does this extend to the music?
Both Wizkid and Tiwa Savage are professional singers, and stars, in their own right. All they do is music. Even if they’re not dating, or they’re celibate (like Linda), they still have to do music. Wiz had three children, and it didn’t stop him from doing his music. Tiwa had a son, got married, and broke up, none of that affected her music. Maybe it did, but not in a bad way. Does this mean Tiwa Savage and Wizkid will just be in a relationship, and it doesn’t even touch the music?
Wizkid and Tiwa, being two of the best artists out of Nigeria (read : Africa), so naturally, they’ve had collabos. Even when Tiwa was with her estranged husband, Tee Billz. Their first collabo, was a single off her RED album, “Bad.” It was a bang single, on it’s own.
Then, last year’s “Ma Lo” which won in the Best Collaboration category at the 2018 Headies Awards, further shows what a chemistry the StarBoy, and “No. 1 in Africa badgyal” have.
Although, they’re yet to have more singles together, everyone is aware of the chemistry between then, when they both jump on a song.
Falz and Simi, may have had multiple singles, and an EP together, and never dated. Simi may had worked on Adekunle Gold’s album, and never had any relationship with him. Kizz Daniel (Kiss Daniel) may even be dating Chidinma, and there’s no collabo. BUT, one thing is sure, if truly Wizkid is dating Tiwa, expect many more collabo’s.
Even if they’re not dating, still expect collaborations from there. That’s where it all gets corny!
