While the month of January might be the first month of the year, it doesn’t stop Naija Artists from releasing good songs.
As the month draws close to an end, we compiled a list of the best Naija songs to be released in January.
While a lot of good music was released this month, Top Nigerian Artists didn’t release any songs as their albums are still young on the streaming platforms.
Kizz Daniel ft Olamide, Falz, LK Kuddy- Currently
To round the month, Kizz Daniel dropped his first single for the year, ‘Currently’. The Amapiano styled song features heavyweights like Olamide, Falz, and LK Kuddy.
Mr Real ft Zlatan, Laycon- Fela (Remix)
Mr Real released a hit song, ‘Fela‘ in 2020 but due to circumstances, the song didn’t get enough airplay as it should have. To spice things up, he features Fast rising rapper, Laycon, and Zlatan on the remix.
D’banj- Ikebe
D’banj kicks off his 2021 with ‘Ikebe’, a song dedicated to the behind of women and the kind of temptation it brings. This was produced by Rexxie.
Ruger X D’Prince X Rema – One Shirt
Jonzing World released a record by its most recent signee, Ruger titled “One Shirt” featuring label mate, Rema, and boss, D’Prince.
The new debut comes shortly after Ruger’s signing to the imprint.
Ayra Starr – Sare
Mavin latest signee, Ayra Starr released her self titled debut EP in January and one of fans’ favourite from the project is the Don Jazzy-produced record, ‘Sare‘.
Bella Shmurda – Rush
To mark his Birthday, Nigeria’s breakout star, Bella Shmurda released another hit song titled “Rush” (Which was already trending as ‘Moving Fast’) to kick start the year.

Ayra Starr- Away
Don Jazzy‘s latest signee to Mavin Record introduced herself with her debut hit song, ‘Away’ which off her debut EP, ‘Ayra Starr‘.
