They no longer stay behind the scene working and producing hits and not getting credit for work done.
They now produce their personal songs but don’t have to have their vocals on the record as they collaborate with their either popular acts or in Sarz’s case, team up with newcomers to create hits.

Hallelu- Masterkraft, Bella Shmurda, Zlatan
Masterkraft is a versatile producer and being more than a decade in the Industry is enough proof.
When the Amapiano sound started dominating the Nigerian music industry in 2020, he didn’t hesitate to jump on the trend enlisting Bella Shmurda and Zlatan who brought more than enough vibes to the spiced-up beat.
Mad- Sarz, Wurld
Sarz is one of Nigeria’s biggest and consistent music producers with several hits in his bad as a producer.
In recent times, he has gone from just producing songs to collaborating with artists to create classic projects.
The first of these was with Nigerian Soul vocalist, Wurld on the “I Love Girls with Trobul” project. While the project has more than enough hits, for this list, the focus would be on “Mad“.
In this song, the music duo chemistry is out of this world. Their sound, melody, tune and vocals are of international standard.
Indomie- Masterkraft, Olamide, CDQ
In 2014, Masterkraft teamed up with Kings of the streets, Olamide and CDQ for the dance anthem, “Indomie“. This song showed that Masterkraft’s versatility and ability to pick the right choices for a collaboration.
Monalisa- Sarz, Lojay
Two years after his amazing collaboration with Wurld on ‘I Love Girls With Trobul“, Sarz in 2021 teamed up with newcomer, Lojay for an EP titled “LV N ATTN“.
While “Tonongo” was the lead single, the groovy amapiano styled “Monalisa” was the chart-topper.
“Monalisa” is a reminder to anyone who has forgotten while truly Sarz is no one’s mate. He takes an already trending genre and redefines it, breaking the rules and making his own.
Lojay is also perfect, blessing listeners with his smooth melodious voice that tells you Sarz definitely picked the right choice for the song.
KPK- Rexxie, Mohbad
In the past six to five years, the Street Hop sound has seen a re-evolution that has Rexxie at the forefront as one of the genre’s leading producers. He has made name for himself as the producer behind some of Naira Marley and Zlatan’s biggest hits.
With the level of fame, he has achieved, It’s no surprise that he would join his colleague in the production world to focus on making music on their terms. One of the products of this rebrand is his collaboration titled “KPK” with Marlian Music act, Mohbad.
“KPK” was released in 2020 and was an instant hit thanks to the catchy beat and catchy hook which is courtesy of Mohbad. The title which is an acronym for “Ko Por Ke” is a street slang that became viral thanks to the song.
Mafo- Naira Marley, Young John
Young John came to the limelight after producing some hits for Olamide way back. He too has collaborated with artists to release some dope songs like his 2016 Lil Kesh-assisted “Bend Down Select“.
However one of his best collaborations is with Naira Marley on ‘Mafo“.
“Mafo” was the lead single off Naira Marley’s “Lord of Lamba” project and one of the biggest street anthems from 2019. It was nominated at the Headies award in 2020 although it lost to Mayorkun’s “Geng”
Beat of Life (Samba)- Sarz, Wizkid
Sarz has always been different, instead of trying to keep up with trends, he is most likely creating it, one of the things that make him special in the Industry.
In 2017, Sarz took over the streets with ‘Beat of Life (Samba)” which featured Wizkid.
According to a behind the scene video released by Sarz, he played the beat for Wizkid during the singer’s visit to his studio and the two can came up with what fans know as the “Samba”

Opor- Rexxie, Zlatan
Rexxie released his “Afro Street” EP in 2020 and leading the project was the Zlatan-assisted “Opor.” The song was a street hit and Ladipoe joined the remix after he dropped a freestyle verse to the beat of the song on social media due to a bet.
Get Up- Sarz, Flash, DJ Tunez
In the year 2017, Sarz introduced fans to industry newcomer, Flash through the banging hit, “Get Up.” Sarz’s groovy beat production and Flash’s infectious vocals made this song a hit.

The Matter- Maleek Berry, Wizkid
Before people knew him as a singer, most people knew Maleek Berry as a producer and the brain behind the hit, ‘The Matter“.
The song was an instant hit thanks to the beat and Wizkid’s lyrics which was a combination of confidence and braggadocio.
