Global Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage is back in the spotlight with her latest single titled “Energy,” a vibrant release that arrives with all the sparkle and confidence fans expect from her evolving sound.
Produced by acclaimed hitmaker Krisbeatz, the track brings together an exciting blend of voices across different eras of Afrobeats. Tiwa links up with legendary singer Wande Coal and rising Gen Z artist Mavo, creating a dynamic mix that feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time.

Built on infectious Afrobeat rhythms, playful delivery, and upbeat production, “Energy” leans into themes of joy, ambition, romance, and self-assurance.
The record paints a lifestyle of confidence and celebration while also acknowledging the hustle and pressures of everyday life. At its core, it encourages listeners to stay grounded, chase success, and protect their peace while enjoying the ride.
First teased during an exclusive preview at the 2026 MOBO Awards, the song signals the beginning of a new era for Tiwa Savage. It also serves as the lead offering from her upcoming project, hinting at a more intentional and purpose-driven creative direction.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Tiwa Savage describes it as a reflection of inner strength and personal evolution.
She says, “Energy is about stepping into your power and owning who you are without apology,” she says. “It’s about confidence, ambition, and protecting your energy while staying focused on becoming everything you’re meant to be.”

The release comes during a defining period in her career. Earlier in 2026, Tiwa Savage expanded her impact beyond music by launching the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation in collaboration with Berklee College of Music, further cementing her commitment to developing young African talent.
Through the initiative, 18 students were awarded scholarships worth a combined $2.1 million, giving them access to world-class music education and career development opportunities.
With “Energy,” Tiwa Savage once again reinforces her role as a bridge between generations in Afrobeats. The collaboration with Wande Coal and Mavo delivers a bright, feel-good anthem packed with swagger, optimism, and infectious rhythm a statement that she remains firmly in control of both her sound and her legacy.
