Shallipopi Talks About His Musical Journey and Shares the Startling Truth About Smoking.
Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has revealed a surprising fact about himself: he doesn’t smoke, despite frequently posing with cigars in his pictures and videos.
In a recent interview with Soundcity Africa, the Oba Pluto crooner explained: “One thing my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke. It’s just aesthetics.”
When asked about his inspiration for music, Shallipopi cited hardship as a major influence, saying, “What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country.”

Additionally, Shallipopi recently hailed Olamide as the “king of Nigerian street music” in an interview with Naija FM. He reflected on his collaboration with the legendary rapper on the hit track Order, stating:
“Baddo [Olamide] is the father and king of Nigerian street music. I had to feature him on Order because it is a street song, and Olamide owns the street.”
Shallipopi also confirmed his departure from Dapper Music, confirming that he left the label after his contract expired.
