Portable drops new song inspired by social media buzz
Nigerian street-pop star Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again tapped into a trending social media controversy to create a new song.
The Zazu crooner’s latest track is inspired by the ongoing ‘Truth or Dare’ scandal that has been making waves online.
The controversy began when popular skit maker Ijoba Lande accused his wife, Darasimi, of infidelity with Nollywood actor Baba Tee.

The allegation has since sparked intense discussions across social media, drawing reactions from both fans and celebrities—including Portable himself.
In response to the scandal, Portable took to social media to issue a strong warning, particularly to Baba Tee and any man who might consider making advances towards his baby mama, actress Ashabi Simple. Condemning infidelity, the singer went as far as placing curses on anyone who dared cross that boundary.
Shortly after, Portable shared a video of himself vibing to his new song, which is sung in Yoruba and appears to take subtle jabs at Ijoba Lande.
The lyrics reference a man losing his wife to another, further fueling discussions surrounding the controversial saga.
Coincidentally, the song’s release aligns with Portable’s birthday on Wednesday, March 12. The singer was seen celebrating in his usual energetic style, dancing to the fresh track.
Fans have since reacted to the song, praising his ability to turn viral moments into street anthems.
