Portable speaks out on viral controversy, sends strong warning
Nigerian street-pop sensation Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing scandal involving actor Babatunde Bernard Tayo (Baba Tee) and skit maker Ijoba Lande’s wife, Darasimi.
The controversy erupted after Baba Tee publicly admitted to having an affair with Darasimi, despite initially denying the allegations. Portable, known for his outspoken nature, wasted no time in addressing the situation through voice messages sent directly to Baba Tee.
In his messages, the Zazoo crooner expressed deep disappointment, revealing that he once respected Baba Tee and never expected such behavior from him. He strongly condemned the act of sleeping with another man’s wife, warning that such actions bring setbacks in life.
“Baba Tee, with the way I like you so much, you shouldn’t be sleeping with other people’s wives. You gave Lande’s wife doggy, is that how you people behave in the movie industry?” Portable questioned.
Taking the matter further, Portable issued a stern warning about his own wife, actress Ashabi Simple, making it clear that any man who dares to have an affair with her would face severe consequences.
“I swear to God, if anybody moves close to my own wife, the person would die. My wife is an actress, if I see anybody doing rubbish with her, the person will die.”
Despite his criticism, Portable noted that Baba Tee was not entirely to blame, stating that Ijoba Lande should take responsibility for controlling his wife’s actions.
Beyond his voice messages, Portable also addressed the scandal in a video, where he humorously sang about the drama between Baba Tee and Darasimi, adding his signature dramatic flair to the situation.
