Kcee blasts Harrysong over claims of writing his hit songs
Kingsley Okonkwo, better known by his stage name Kcee, is a singer and co-founder of Five Star Music and has criticized Harrysong, a former signee of the company, for saying that he composed the majority of his popular songs during that time.
Harrysong has consistently criticized Kcee and E-Money, his brother and business associate, for allegedly possessing his song rights.
The ‘Limpopo’ crooner’s hit songs, he said, were mostly his compositions.
In response, Kcee stated in the most recent Afrobeats podcast episode that Harrysong was still living in the village with his grandmother when he and his ex-partner, Presh, won the Star Quest talent competition and were signed to Kennis Music, where they put out three albums.
He emphasized that, despite Harrysong’s departure from Five Star Music eight years ago, the label is still making hits with him on it.
He stated that because Harrysong is battling both his wife and his previous manager, Soso, he thinks Harrysong needs prayers.
Kcee said, “When I won Star Quest, Harrysong was in the village with his grandmother. I did three albums with Kennis Music, did Harrysong write those? Harrysong has a problem, we need to pray for him. Jokes apart, we need to pray for him.”
