Kcee Shares His Wife’s Romantic Story of Meeting Her.
Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, better known by his stage name Kcee, recently opened up about the serendipitous way he met his wife, Ijeoma Okonkwo.
During an interview with VJ Adams, Kcee revealed that it was love at first sight when he crossed paths with Ijeoma while delivering wedding invitations for his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money.
Kcee recounted, “I met my wife [Ijeoma] when I went to give Charly Boy E-Money’s wedding invitation. The moment I saw her, I knew I wanted to marry her. I even told my friend Presh, ‘That’s my wife.’ He laughed, but I was serious.”
Determined, Kcee approached Ijeoma and personally invited her to the wedding, adding, “I want to marry you.” Initially, she didn’t pay much attention, not realizing he was the famous singer Kcee. Only after a colleague pointed it out, she agreed to share her number with him.
Their conversation quickly became serious as Kcee told Ijeoma, “I don’t want to date you; I want to marry you. Sometimes, dating leads us to see only faults and distracts us from true happiness.”
The couple married in 2010 and now have two children. Their journey stands as a testament to Kcee’s belief in finding happiness by embracing what feels right from the heart.
