Don Design receiving death threats: ‘Sh*t I gotta go through
After the passing of his best friend AKA, Don Design opened up on his birthday about experiencing cyberbullying and receiving death threats.
AKA’s murder took place two long months ago. Additionally, his closest friend Don Design celebrates his birthday today. However, the DJ claims that there is nothing to rejoice about.
The singer even goes so far as to say that it was the “worst birthday ever.”
The rapper was shot and killed by an unidentified assailant in Durban back in February, and the DJ and others watched helplessly.
Since then, the public has widely criticised the Jozi hitmaker for his behaviour as seen on CCTV evidence just before the shooting.
Don Design opened up about experiencing cyberbullying and receiving death threats on his birthday, April 10. The murder of AKA outside Wish On Florida had been two months ago to the day. Apparently disclosing his whereabouts on his Instagram Stories led to this.
Don sent his fans a sorrowful birthday message on his personal Instagram account.
Another year spent orbiting the sun—this is the worst birthday ever, he wrote. ranging from death threats to daily assassination attempts on my character on all social media platforms.”
He continued: “I still have to wake up in the morning to work and be able to provide for my family. None of this makes sense”.
Don subsequently sent a message to his “fake” companions. I don’t need any of you false people keeping an eye on me, he continued. My family and I are receiving assistance. None of you can imagine half the crap I have to go through.
A week after admitting that he is still in mourning over the passing of AKA, actual name Kiernan Forbes, Don Design posted a blog entry about it.
Don confessed his renewed sadness in his Instagram Story. He uploaded a photo of himself and AKA along with the message, “Miss you dawg.”
Days prior, Don honoured the late Costa Titch and AKA with a video tribute of one of their final concerts.
