    There have been viral reports going around that Burna Boy’s performance at “Africans unite concert” in South Africa, has been canceled.

    The “Africans Unite Concert” was initiated as a method of curbing the rate of Xenophobic attacks on non-South African Citizens.  It was scheduled to take place in South Africa on the 23rd and 24th of November.

    To headline, this concert was Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Jidenna, and  Kwesta.

    However, prior to this event, the “Ye” singer had taken to twitter to express his displeasure over these heartless attacks. Out of anger, the singer said some words which South Africans regarded as disrespect to their country.

    Burna boy also got into an altercation with South African rapper; AKA, who requested the singer to apologize to his country before setting foot in it to perform.

    Following these events were a series of protests and life threats, against the African giant, led by an entertainment umbrella known as “Tshwane collective”

    It seems the messy turn of events called the attention of the Organizers of the show; Phambii media, and Play network Africa.

    According to South Africa’s media house, Timeslive, the organizers decided to cancel the show for fear of attack on the artist. They also, reported that the organizers talked with Burna Boy’s management and consequently withdrew him from the concert, and canceled the show.

    Their exact words were;

    “The decision to cancel the Africans Unite Concert comes after the call from the Tshwane Entertainment Collective to boycott the Africans Unite concert in Tshwane.

    With the increasing threats of violence from other unfortunate segments of the public and without any government intervention, Phambili Media and Play Network Africa were prompted to take the threats and warnings seriously, as the safety of all artists and attendees could not be guaranteed.

    We then decided to cancel the concert.The safety of all attendees, artists, and crew comes first,” the statement reads”

    If the show has really been canceled, then this is surely one sad news.

    We, however, hope things can be resolved amicably, and that the concert eventually holds.

    Violence is never a solution to any problem guys.

    Let love rule!!!
