Burna Boy Secures 10th Platinum Certification in France with Coldplay Collaboration, becoming the most certified Nigerian artist in France

Global Afro-fusion icon Burna Boy has earned yet another prestigious SNEP Platinum certification, further solidifying his reign as Nigeria’s most decorated artist in France.
This latest accolade comes from his feature on Coldplay’s 2024 hit single We Pray, which also includes contributions from Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini. The track, lifted from Coldplay’s Moon Music album, has now officially gone Platinum in France, marking Burna Boy’s 10th certified track in the country.
The milestone arrives shortly after City Boy—from Burna’s I Told Them album—also clinched Platinum status in France. That album, his seventh studio project, continues to dominate charts, particularly in France, where Burna recently made history as the first African artist to headline and sell out the massive 80,000-capacity Stade de France.
In another landmark moment, Burna Boy graced the cover of Billboard France in 2024, becoming the first artist to ever do so—a powerful reflection of his growing cultural influence across Europe.
His impressive list of French certifications includes the Diamond plaque for Last Last and On The Low, Platinum awards for Gbona, YE, and City Boy, and Gold for Alone, Anybody, and For My Hand featuring Ed Sheeran. He also recently added another Platinum honor for Donne-Moi L’accord, his collaboration with French superstar Dadju.
With ten Grammy nominations under his belt, Burna Boy is now preparing for a blockbuster 2025.
His eighth album, No Sign of Weakness, is on the horizon, and he’s already dropped five singles from the project—including the Travis Scott-assisted Brazilian funk-inspired Tatata.
As he gears up for this next chapter, Burna Boy’s legacy continues to grow.
He remains the only Nigerian artist with three albums surpassing 500 million streams each on Spotify—proof of his unmatched global momentum.
