Real Madrid boss Ancelotti reacts to corresponding Sir Alex Ferguson’s all-time Champions League record.
Carlo Ancelotti has reacted to his 102 Champions League victories, as he has matched Sir Alex Ferguson’s record for most wins in the competition.
The 63-year-old has achieved great success in the contest and is proud to have won it a record four times. Additionally, he is the only manager to have participated in five Champions League championship games (three times with AC Milan and twice with Real Madrid).
With his team’s convincing 5-1 victory over Celtic in the Champions League, the Italian manager passed the personal milestone of 102 victories in the continental competition.
That saw him equal former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s record of most UCL victories as he joked he’s now gunning for 200.

Ancelotti was tied on the same number of wins in the competition as former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson (102).
The only coaches that are still active in club football who could reach Ancelotti’s record are Pep Guardiola (96) and Jose Mourinho (81).
“Let’s go for the 200. Happy to do it here at Madrid! It’s been a lot of games on the bench. I think I’ve done pretty well,” Ancelotti told reporters after the Celtic win.

The Italian will next take his Madrid side to Rayo Vallecano on November 7, their penultimate fixture before the World Cup break.
