Davido has officially kicked off a new musical chapter with the release of his latest single, “I Know Who I Be,” accompanied by a cinematic music video.
The record sees the Afrobeats superstar team up with South African 3-Step producer JAZZWRLD and rising artist GL_CeeJay, creating a cross-border collaboration that blends West African star power with Southern African production.
Fresh from his appearance on the global stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Davido uses the record to usher in a new era, reflecting on a journey that has seen him spend more than 15 years helping shape Afrobeats into a worldwide phenomenon.
Built around infectious 3-step rhythms, booming basslines, and uplifting melodies, “I Know Who I Be” is both a personal statement and a victory lap, one that celebrates identity, resilience, and the roots that have defined his career.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, Davido said:
