Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for the 2026 edition of the Mawazine Festival in Rabat.

The globally recognized festival, organised by Maroc Cultures, is known for bringing together major international and African stars across multiple genres, making it one of the biggest music and cultural events on the continent.
According to organisers, the 21st edition of the festival will run from June 19 to 27, with Rema scheduled to perform on June 24 at the prestigious OLM Souissi Stage.
The event will unfold across several venues in Rabat and neighbouring cities, featuring concerts, exhibitions, and cultural activities designed to transform the city into a week-long entertainment hub.
Widely regarded as one of the largest music festivals in the world, Mawazine traditionally hosts more than 90 acts across seven stages, attracting millions of attendees from different parts of the globe.
Over the years, the festival has become a major platform for both African and international artists, drawing huge crowds and reinforcing Morocco’s growing influence in global entertainment and tourism.
Rema’s inclusion in the lineup further highlights his continued rise on the international stage, especially following a string of global performances and major festival appearances that have expanded his reach far beyond Afrobeats’ traditional markets.
With Rabat expected to once again transform into a high-energy cultural hotspot during the festival period, anticipation is already building around the Nigerian star’s performance on one of Mawazine’s biggest stages.
