Tension has flared in Nigeria’s music scene after a perceived lyrical jab from AG Baby sparked a heated reaction from Seyi Vibez, setting social media abuzz with talk of a possible feud.

The controversy began after Adekunle Gold released “Life of the Faaji,” a track off his newly dropped Fuji Xtra project. On the song, one particular line quickly caught listeners’ attention: “They love my fuji, this no be Fuji Moto.”
For many fans, the reference was interpreted as a subtle dig at Seyi Vibez’s 2025 project Fuji Moto, which also explored Fuji-inspired street-pop sounds. The comparison immediately triggered online debates, with listeners dissecting possible subtext behind the lyric.
Not long after the discussions gained momentum, Seyi Vibez reacted on X (formerly Twitter), strongly expressing his displeasure. In a series of posts, he directly called out Adekunle Gold in unusually harsh terms.
“Adekunle Gold you’re wack. And your swag is wack. Old fool!” he wrote.
He followed up with additional remarks, escalating the situation further: “Adekunle panda Egbon ofo! Egbon ya.”
The exchange has since fuelled conversations across social media, especially given both artists’ recent focus on Fuji-inspired sounds.
Adekunle Gold’s 2025 Fuji album introduced a refined blend of traditional Fuji elements with Afrobeats and pop, while Seyi Vibez’s Fuji Moto leaned into a more street-pop interpretation of the same influence.
The overlapping themes had already drawn comparisons between both projects, but the latest development has now pushed those comparisons into open tension.
As of the time of reporting, Adekunle Gold has not responded publicly to Seyi Vibez’s comments, leaving fans divided and watching closely for what could happen next in the unfolding exchange.
