Temi (Otedola) Ajibade, the wife of music star Mr Eazi, has opened up about one of the most delicate topics in relationships: staying cool with exes.
And according to her, it’s not the minefield many people imagine, as long as clear boundaries remain in place.

During a recent episode of How Far? With Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola, Temi spoke with an ease that suggested the topic had come up before but never caused friction in her home. To her, friendliness isn’t a problem — it’s the type of friendliness that matters.
“If the breakup wasn’t dramatic or messy, I don’t have any issue with my husband being cordial with his exes,” she said, her tone calm and unbothered, like someone explaining an already-set house rule.
For Temi, harmless gestures are perfectly fine. A polite birthday message? No big deal. A kind text to mark a milestone? Also fine. But the line is clearly drawn once those gestures start creeping into unnecessary familiarity.
“You can be nice to the person, like wish them a happy birthday or send a nice text,” she explained. “But when you start liking their pictures online, monitoring their status or uploads, that’s where I get uncomfortable.”
Her take reflects a modern, balanced approach, one that understands past relationships don’t need to be erased but definitely shouldn’t linger in present-day behaviour.
In Temi’s world, respect is the real currency, and as long as it’s intact, everyone stays happy.
