WIZKID, TEMS, ASAKE, BNXN AND VICTONY MAKE APPLE MUSIC’S BEST SONGS OF 2026 LIST
Nigerian music stars Wizkid, Tems, Asake, BNXN, and Victony have earned spots on Apple Music’s Best Songs of 2026 list, released on Friday, November 6, with five tracks featuring Nigerian acts making the final selection.
The annual compilation celebrates songs that have shaped the global music scene over the year, with Nigerian artists gaining recognition through both solo releases and international collaborations spanning different sounds and genres.
Wizkid leads the Nigerian contingent with two appearances, making him the country’s most featured act on the list.
The Grammy-winning singer earns recognition for “PONGO,” a collaboration with Jamaican producer Rvssian and Puerto Rican star Rauw Alejandro. He also features on “Jogodo,” his joint record with fellow Nigerian hitmaker Asake.
Meanwhile, Tems makes the selection with her solo track “What You Need,” while BNXN earns a spot through “Back Outside,” his collaboration with Nigerian producer Sarz.
Victony completes the list of Nigerian representatives with his song “SLICK,” giving the country five entries on this year’s selection.
