Nigerian Alté pioneer BOJ has unveiled plans for his forthcoming studio album, Duplicity, slated for release on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Known for his innovative artistry and genre-blending sound, BOJ is taking a bold creative approach with this rollout, releasing songs in pairs to mirror the project’s central theme of duality.

The campaign officially launched on Wednesday, November 12, with the simultaneous release of two singles: “Shana,” a vibrant, rap-infused collaboration featuring Show Dem Camp (SDC) and Ghanaian hitmaker Joey B, and “After Hours,” a silky, late-night groove featuring French-Gabonese singer Anaïs Cardot. The contrasting tracks showcase the album’s multidimensional soundscape, blending Alté, rap, and R&B elements in BOJ’s signature fashion.
Staying true to the Duplicity concept, BOJ plans to continue releasing dual singles leading up to the album’s debut. The next wave, Contraband featuring Olamide and Diamonds featuring Mavo, is already sparking excitement across social media and music circles.

Visually, BOJ has teased the project with striking minimalist art direction and a black-and-white split-screen motif that underscores the theme of contrast and balance. The aesthetic complements his vision of crafting a story-driven, cohesive body of work rather than a typical playlist-style album.
With Duplicity, BOJ appears ready to cement his status as one of the most forward-thinking voices in Nigeria’s Alté scene bridging experimentation with mainstream appeal while continuing to redefine what modern African music can be.
Fans can now stream Shana and After Hours on all major platforms ahead of the album’s full release in December.
