It was a night Yola won’t forget anytime soon.
Under the bright lights of Mahmud Ribadu Square, thousands of voices joined in unison as Davido brought his 5ive Alive Tour to the heart of Adamawa, Yola State, on October 29, 2025.

The city came alive with excitement as fans from all corners gathered to witness one of Afrobeats’ biggest stars in full performance mode, and the energy was nothing short of electric.
From the very first beat, Davido had the crowd in his hands. The superstar delivered hit after hit, moving seamlessly from global anthems like 10 Kilo, Blow My Mind, Unavailable, and Feel to the classics that built his legacy: Dami Duro, Skelewu, FIA, and Risky.
Backed by a powerhouse live band and dazzling stage production, the Yola concert rivaled the grand scale of his recent U.S. performances.

Earlier that day, Davido paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Adamawa Government House. There, he explained why Yola made his tour map, praising the state’s peaceful atmosphere and growing capacity to host large-scale events.
“While we were coming to Africa, we were looking for a place in Nigeria that could handle us production-wise and security-wise, and Adamawa came out on top,” Davido said.

The night wasn’t all about Davido; local rising stars also got their shine, performing before the main act and giving the crowd a taste of the region’s growing music scene.
The Yola show marked the second stop of Davido’s Nigerian tour, following a massive kickoff in Akwa Ibom’s 30,000-capacity Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The 5ive Alive Tour continues in Enugu on November 1, then moves to Ibadan on November 9 and Abuja on December 14, before wrapping up in Lagos on December 25 a finale expected to be nothing short of spectacular.
For Yola, though, this wasn’t just another concert it was a celebration of music, unity, and the undeniable reach of Afrobeats in every corner of Nigeria. When Davido said “We rise by lifting others,” the people of Yola clearly felt it.
