Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has dismissed viral reports claiming he was arrested in London after an alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.

The rumours, which spread rapidly online after being peddled by controversial content creator Tosin Silverdam, suggested the singer missed his UK tour date on Thursday, October 2, 2025, due to detention. Some even speculated the supposed arrest was connected to a domestic dispute.
But 2Baba quickly set the record straight in a video shared online, appearing relaxed alongside Natasha and close friends. In the clip, he laughed off the claims, while one associate jokingly called him “alleged,” further mocking the false narrative.
Explaining his absence, the African Queen hitmaker revealed that a medical emergency was the real reason he could not perform.
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire,” he said.
The clarification has calmed worried fans, many of whom expressed relief at seeing him in good health and in high spirits with Natasha by his side. 2Baba also assured supporters that plans would be made to compensate for the canceled London show.
