Nigerian superstar DJ and producer SPINALL has released his highly anticipated seventh studio album, Eko Groove, under TheCAP Music.
The 14-track project, now streaming on all major platforms, is a pulsating homage to Lagos, fusing Afrobeats with amapiano, reggae, and global sounds.

The buzz around Eko Groove began on August 9 when SPINALL teased fans with a cinematic trailer and striking cover art showcasing Lagos’ bustling streets and snippets from his worldwide tours.
Pre-release singles such as Early featuring Victony, and “Excited,” with Ami Faku, Heavy-K, and Niniola, heightened expectations. By August 14, when he revealed a heavyweight lineup including Wizkid, Summer Walker, and Buju Banton, anticipation had reached fever pitch.
Running at 48 minutes, the album opens with the title track, Eko Groove, featuring Ayinde Bakare, instantly setting a rhythmic Lagos-inspired tone. Other standout collaborations include Struggle with Summer Walker, Buju Banton, and Jaz Karis, which offer soulful introspection, while contributions from Wizkid, Niniola, and Teni highlight SPINALL’s seamless fusion of homegrown and international artistry.

With his hands firmly on the production, the album echoes both his Lagos heritage and the global influences from his tours since Top Boy (2023).
Born Oluseye Desmond Sodamola, SPINALL has risen from his 2015 debut, My Story, to become one of Africa’s foremost DJs, gracing iconic stages such as Coachella and Glastonbury. Beyond performing, his imprint, TheCAP Music—founded in 2014—has helped shape contemporary Nigerian soundscapes.
Eko Groove, recorded during his international shows, stands as both a love letter to Lagos and a bold statement of his mission to export Nigerian music worldwide.
Now available on DSPs, the album invites listeners to dance, reflect, and celebrate Lagos through SPINALL’s lens.
