Afrobeats fast-riser Lojay has reignited fan discussions after naming the two artists he’s most eager to see on a joint track.

In a recent chat with Okayplayer, the singer didn’t mince words when asked about his dream collaboration. Without hesitation, he said,
“Two artists I would love to see collaborate? Davido and Wizkid. I would love to see them just come together and connect, do something.”
He further stressed the importance of it happening within their prime:
“I don’t want to never see that happen.”
The remark has quickly stirred reactions across social media, with fans once again entertaining the long-standing fantasy of a Davido–Wizkid collaboration.
Both superstars have enjoyed monumental success as solo acts, yet their perceived rivalry has fueled years of heated debate within the Afrobeats community.
Lojay’s comments, however, highlight the bigger picture that a union between the two heavyweights would be more than just music. Many believe it could serve as a landmark moment for African pop culture, symbolizing unity while breaking new creative boundaries.
For now, it remains a dream, but one that could redefine the future of Afrobeats if ever realized.
