Jadon Sancho has opened up about his goal drought at Chelsea, admitting frustration over his lack of goals in the past three months.

The 24-year-old last found the net in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on December 8, 2024. Since then, he has registered just one assist, which came against Crystal Palace in January, leaving him with only a single goal involvement in three months despite regular starts.

Sancho acknowledged his struggles but remains hopeful that his form will improve with time.

“I know I can do better, especially in front of goal. It’s kind of annoying not to score. But I know it will come, [I] just have to take time and be patient,” Sancho said.

Since joining Chelsea on loan from Manchester United last summer, Sancho has scored twice and provided six assists. While this marks an improvement from his 2023/24 campaign, he is still two goal involvements shy of his 2022/23 tally of ten.

With Chelsea pushing for a strong finish to the season, the Blues will hope Sancho rediscovers his scoring touch soon.

Jadon Sancho remains optimistic about Chelsea’s push for a Champions League spot despite his personal goal drought.

Since joining Chelsea on loan from Manchester United last summer, Sancho has recorded two goals and six assists. While this marks an improvement over his disrupted 2023/24 campaign, he is still two goal involvements shy of his tally from 2022/23.

Chelsea’s recent 3-1 victory over Leicester, following a win against Southampton, marked their first back-to-back Premier League triumphs in 2025. With ten games left in the season and key players returning from injury, the Blues have a strong chance of securing a top-four finish for the first time since 2022.

“It’s a great position to be in,” Sancho said about Chelsea reclaiming a Champions League spot. “Obviously, we want to play Champions League football next year—that’s the aim. But it’s going to be very tough. We’ve got a few hard fixtures, home and away, so we just have to keep at it and give it 100% all the time.”

With momentum building, Chelsea will be looking to maintain their winning form as they aim for a return to Europe’s elite competition.
