Kyle Walker has officially left Manchester City to join AC Milan on a six-month loan, with the Serie A club holding an option to make the move permanent in the summer for a reported fee of £4.2m (€5m).
The 34-year-old England international requested to leave City earlier this month, with his final appearance for the club coming in a 4-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium. After City accepted Milan’s offer on Thursday, Walker is set to wear the No. 32 shirt at his new club, who are currently eighth in Serie A and pushing for a Champions League qualification spot.

Since joining City from Tottenham in 2017 for £50m, Walker has enjoyed immense success, helping the club secure 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph. Despite being close to a move to Bayern Munich following City’s historic treble win in 2023, Walker signed a contract extension to stay at City until 2026.

In an emotional farewell post on Instagram, Walker reflected on his time at Manchester City, describing it as a “dream come true.” He thanked his teammates, coaching staff, Pep Guardiola, and the fans for their support throughout his seven-and-a-half seasons at the Etihad, stating: “Winning 17 trophies, including the Champions League and the famous treble, is something I could only have dreamt of as a child.”
