The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper: 2024 nominees revealed
FIFA has unveiled the seven nominees for the 2024 Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper Award, with some of the world’s finest shot-stoppers competing for the prestigious honor.

Arsenal’s David Raya is among the favourites after securing the Premier League Golden Glove for his impressive performances between the posts.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, renowned for his commanding displays, is expected to be a strong contender again this year, particularly after playing a crucial role in Argentina’s Copa America victory.
Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin makes the list after stepping up in Thibaut Courtois’ absence. The Ukrainian goalkeeper played a pivotal role in Madrid’s Champions League triumph, though he was controversially benched for the final despite his earlier heroics.
Spain’s Unai Simon also features after an exceptional year both for his national team and at club level. The Euro 2024 winner was named in La Liga’s Team of the Season and helped Athletic Club to lift the Copa del Rey.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma earned his place on the shortlist after securing multiple trophies with the French giants, while AC Milan’s Mike Maignan rounds out the list, having been consistently excellent in the Serie A.
