Tiwa Savage comes hard at Wizkid fan trolling her for promoting her music after release of Dance song
Award-winning Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has fired back at a Wizkid fan who criticized the promotion of her latest track ‘Toma Toma,’ a collaboration with Ruger, which dropped today, November 15, 2024.
The clash unfolded on social media after Tiwa shared a video of herself dancing passionately to her verse from ‘Toma Toma.’ Sporting a stunning, revealing outfit, she captioned the post: “No replica. Told yall this one is special. The 🌀 @rugerofficial called and I answered. Toma Toma OUT NOW.”

Coincidentally, Wizkid’s new song ‘Kese Dance‘ also dropped today, sparking comparisons between the two releases. While both tracks have been trending, a Wizkid fan attempted to downplay Tiwa’s efforts by commenting:
“Dey play. Nothing special pass Wizzy hits.”
Tiwa Savage swiftly responded, defending her right to promote her music and calling out the fan’s behaviour. She wrote, “Because I am promoting music. WTF. Y’all are not fans anymore ooo, you guys are actual bullies.”
The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between fan bases of Nigeria’s biggest stars, especially when their music drops simultaneously.
Despite the trolling, Tiwa’s ‘Toma Toma‘ has been receiving praise for its energetic vibe and chemistry with Ruger, while Wizkid’s ‘Kese Dance‘ is already dominating the charts.
Both tracks showcase the diversity and talent in Afrobeats, and fans of both artists are likely to keep the conversation—and the competition—alive.
