A call for unity is sparked by Burna Boy’s heartfelt message regarding Da L.E.S’s health crisis.
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy recently shared a heartfelt reaction to news of South African rapper Da L.E.S’s health struggles. Da L.E.S suffered a stroke in July, during his birthday month, and after a period in the hospital, he is now recovering at home.
On Friday, Burna Boy took to Instagram Stories to express his sorrow upon hearing the news from media personality Tbo Touch. Burna revealed feeling deeply saddened by Da L.E.S’s condition, especially as he currently can’t be in South Africa to support his friend directly.
The relationship between Burna Boy and Da L.E.S goes back years, intertwined with memories that also include the late rapper AKA. Despite past tensions due to issues like xenophobia, Burna Boy’s message emphasized the need to move beyond past divisions.
Posting while on tour with Akon, Burna shared, “My only pain right now is not being in South Africa with Da L.E.S. @tbotouch let me know what’s going on last night at the show.” He concluded with a powerful call for reconciliation, saying, “It’s time to fix this sh*t now.”
Burna’s words reflect his desire for unity and healing within the industry, highlighting his enduring connection with Da L.E.S and the need for support and solidarity across borders.
