Nigerian megastars Burna Boy and AG Baby (Adekunle Gold) have broken their silence on the ongoing “End Bad Governance” protests in Nigeria, which began on August 1, 2024. The protests are a response to widespread dissatisfaction with governance in the country.

Both artists took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their perspectives, offering different viewpoints on the movement and its potential impact.

Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy responded to fans, urging him to lend his voice to the protests. He expressed a sense of disillusionment, referencing the 2020 End SARS protests, where his music was reportedly rejected by protesters.

His post read, “The fight in me died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.”

In contrast, singer Adekunle Gold (AG Baby) expressed his support for the ongoing protests. He took to his social media platform to advocate for the cause, sharing the #Endbadgovernance hashtag to show his solidarity with the movement.
