Bella Shmurda To Share Earlier Announced EP, Out Next Friday
Nigerian musician Bella Shmurda is gearing up for the launch of his latest EP, a project he had teased earlier. During a recent appearance on the 90’s Baby Show, he became visibly moved while discussing the EP, set to drop on April 26th. He emphasized its significance, citing personal experiences and the broader context surrounding him.
Initially, Bella Shmurda had outlined his plans for future releases, including a two-part series comprising a full album and an EP dedicated to his late friend, Mohbad. Now, he has officially confirmed that the upcoming EP will indeed be the previously hinted project.
Named “Road to September 12,” the EP is slated for release on April 26th.
This EP, titled ‘Road To September 12,‘ serves as a precursor to Bella Shmurda’s forthcoming album dedicated to Mohbad. It follows the success of his 2023 EP ‘DND,’ featuring popular tracks like ‘Ara’ and ‘NSV’ featuring Tiwa Savage.

Shmurda highlights that having tattoos is no longer taboo in Lagos, noting a growing acceptance among parents. Speaking on a recent episode of the 90’s Baby Show, he discussed the evolving perspective towards tattoos in society. According to Shmurda, the presence of ink on one’s skin should not carry undue weight in judgments about an individual’s character.
He said, “Even the elderly ones in Lagos have come to accept that they have done their part and we have to live our lives. The only wrong thing I see is committing crime but whatever other thing you do is fine, just don’t put yourselves in trouble. That’s the only thing with our parents these days, you can do what you like but don’t put yourselves in trouble. Tattoos are fine, in Nigeria now there are even some pastors that have tattoos, they are like ‘I like, I did it but my heart is pure.’ A tattoo doesn’t determine who I am, and I feel like everyone has grown”.
