Wizkid sets new and breaks existing Spotify record in Nigeria with Soundman 2 (S2)
Wizkid, the acclaimed Nigerian artist, has not only released his latest project, Soundman 2 (S2), but has also broken a Spotify record in Nigeria.
With the much-anticipated Soundman 2 (S2) now out, Wizkid has achieved a new milestone by securing the highest first-day streams on the Spotify daily chart for Nigeria.
The track that propelled this feat is the fourth song from the S2 EP, titled “IDK,” featuring Zlatan, which has garnered an impressive 600,000 streams in its first full day.
After a complete day of tracking, “Ololufe” secured the second spot on the Spotify Daily Top Songs Nigeria chart with 527,379 streams. “Diamonds” follows closely at number three with 518,369 streams, and “Energy” claims the fourth position with 411,061 streams.
The release of Soundman 2 (S2) has sparked significant interest, particularly with the track “IDK” featuring Zlatan, capturing fans’ attention. Wizkid’s revelation about the song’s personal significance has likely contributed to its popularity and record-breaking streaming numbers.
