Davido wanted to fund ‘Legbegbe’ video’ but I declined – Mr Real
Nigerian singer Victor Okafor Uchenna, popularly known as Mr Real, revealed that he turned down music star Davido’s offer to finance the video shoot for his hit song, ‘Legbegbe.’
On an episode of the Terms and Conditions podcast, Mr Real explained that he rejected the offer at that time due to false information spread by his colleague, Idowest, within Davido’s DMW crew.
Mr Real revealed that he was in need of funds to produce the video and would not have declined Davido’s offer if not for the misinformation he discovered about himself through Idowest.
Mr Real said, “This guy, Idowest, had gone to 30BG and said things that I didn’t say. Do you know how I found out? When I was looking for funds to shoot ‘Legbegbe’ video, Idowest and Obadice came and told me that Davido wanted to shoot the video for us.
“But I said I don’t want anyone to shoot the video for me. And the reason why was because I had already seen the green snake and everything thing he was doing.
“On a norm, how can I reject Davido’s offer to shoot my video? But as a soji guy, me I realised that they want to run me street already; una wan come complete am with the video thing, wey be say na only one scene I go show.”
