“N100 million well spent” – Don Jazzy unveils new Mavin’s signee, Lifesize Teddy (Video).
Mavin Records’ CEO, Michael Collins Ajereh, renowned as Don Jazzy has officially introduced the latest addition to Mavin Records, the talented artist known as Lifesize Teddy. This rising star, proficient in singing, rapping, poetry, and songwriting, emerged from the Mavin Academy.
Hailing from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Lifesize Teddy brings a fresh and distinctive afro-fusion musical style to the scene, promising to inject a new flavour into the genre. She is set to make her debut on the Nigerian music scene with the release of her self-titled EP.
Lifesize Teddy, often referred to as LST, possesses a diverse musical palette, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Brenda Fassie, Eva Alordiah, Lucky Dube, Rihanna, and others. Her connection with her audience is nurtured through newsletters, and she remains open to evolving her sound as she continues to explore new sources of inspiration.
Don Baba J, in making this exciting announcement, shared a video of the artist and conveyed the significance of introducing new talents through the Mavin Academy, emphasizing their trust in the artist’s potential and the culmination of their hard work. This comes shortly after he said that, when adding new singers to his record company within a year, he invests a sizeable sum of money, ranging from 50 million to 100 million naira.
He added that, before making a choice, he carefully considers each potential artist and, in the end, selects the one with whom he has a strong emotional connection.
Once chosen, he starts the process of encouraging and developing the chosen person’s talent while establishing a devoted following.
