Manchester United’s second offer for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been rejected.

The second offer is believed to be worth £50 million, including £5 million in performance-related add-ons and £45 million in guaranteed money.
Although there is no doubt that United want to sign the England international, they already have a price in mind that they are not going to go above.
Mount, whose Chelsea contract has one year left, is anticipated to be the subject of ongoing negotiations.
Earlier this month, United reportedly made Mount an opening bid of £40 million, which Chelsea also rejected right away.
The midfielder’s refusal to accept a new contract makes it unlikely that Mount will stay at Stamford Bridge. With just one year remaining on a player’s contract, Chelsea is aware that now is the moment to make a profit.
