Victony’s ‘Soweto’ remix debuts on UK Singles Chart.
Nigerian Afrobeat artist Anthony Ebuka Victor, known professionally as Victony has made his debut on the UK Official Singles chart with his ‘Soweto’ remix.
Victony’s “Soweto” has become one of the most popular Afrobeats songs globally as a result of its continued popularity throughout several nations.
The ‘Soweto‘ remix with Rema & Don Toliver maintained its top rank for a second week in a row in the most recent edition of the UK Official Afrobeats Chart (May 14 – May 20, 2023), extending its run on the chart to 20 weeks.
As it enters its sixth week on the list, Davido’s mega song “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys holds onto the No. 2 position.
Adekunle Gold’s song “Party No Dey Stop” featuring Zinoleesky and Rema’s brand-new single “Charm” are still at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.
‘Feel‘ by Davido jumps two spots to No. 5, while ‘2:30’ by Asake falls one position to No. 6.
Tiwa Savage’s hit single ‘Stamina‘ feat Young Jonn & Ayra Starr and BNXN’s ‘Gwagwalada‘ feat Kizz Daniel & Seyi Vibez move one place up to NO. 7 and NO. 8 respectively.
Holiday by Rema makes a comeback at No. 9, while Someone by Fireboy makes its debut at No. 10.
This week also sees the debuts of CKay’s “Hallelujah” featuring Blaqbonez at No. 11 and Amaarae’s “Co-Star” at No. 19.

As it enters its 19th week at NO. 4, Libianca’s ‘People‘ is still the top African entry.
Rema’s “Calm Down” remains in the top 5 after reaching No. 5 and remaining there for 37 weeks.
Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush‘ drops five places to NO. 37 while extending its stay on the chart to 16 weeks.
The “Soweto” remix by Victony featuring Rema and Don Toliver debuts at position 67 on the charts.
