“Too Insensitive”: Video as Man Gets Shut Down for Asking Davido Why He Didn’t Sing About Son’s Death on Album.
Davido’s manager, Asa Asika has received praise from fans after he stopped an interviewer from asking the singer a question regarding Ifeanyi’s death.
Davido held a press conference yesterday on his upcoming performance in Lagos, which is set for April 23.
At the press conference, the hitmaker was thrown a barrage of questions from the press and made an effort to respond to each one appropriately.
However, when asking Davido questions, one interviewer tried to stray a little from the main subject by trying to find out why Ifeanyi’s death was not covered in the album.
According to him, Timeless had more of a party vibe to it, and many expected it to have some soul to it given that he recently lost his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.
In his words;
“Some other people feel that the song was just too party-ish that you should have put some soul, especially, I mean, we all know what happened. Some people feel that you should have put some soul into it.”
Davido, who was accompanied by his manager, lawyer, and other crew members, was not permitted to respond to the delicate topic.
The person inquiring was promptly silenced by the singer’s Manager, who also requested that queries from the audience focus solely on the singer’s forthcoming event.
The interviewer was left with no choice but to move on to a new question.
