Kylian Mbappe leaves a comment on Marcus Rashford’s post after the World Cup showdown.
After England endured yet another heartbreaking World Cup elimination, France’s Kylian Mbappe displayed his compassionate side by responding to a post made by Marcus Rashford.
The 23-year-old Mbappe has scored five goals in as many games for the hosts France, who are still the overwhelming favourites to win the tournament after defeating England on Saturday night at the Al-Bayt Stadium.
The fact that Harry Kane missed a crucial penalty at the end of the game was difficult for Rashford and his teammates to accept.
Kane had previously given England hope, but goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud sealed France’s advancement, and the Les Bleus will now face Morocco, a surprise contender, in the semifinals.
Despite his brilliant form, Mbappe was largely kept in the background by England but did manage to draw some on-field attention.

The PSG prodigy also openly messaged him on social media after the game.
He was seen by the TV cameras jumping up and down in celebration as Kane blazed over from 12 yards. He then displayed some sportsmanship by hugging Manchester United attacker Rashford after the game.
Reflecting on the game, Rashford took to Instagram and posted a message to his 13.2 million followers. It read: “The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions, each and every one of our team gave everything we had to be ready for what was thrown at us, we got close, but not close enough.
“I’ll make a promise that we will come again! Thank you for the unconditional support we have received throughout the tournament, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
Receiving countless likes and replies, several United teammates past and present – including Jesse Lingard – replied to Rashford, Mbappe also commented with a love-heart emoji. Rashford responded: “Good luck with the rest of the tournament brother! Go smash it king.”
