The Mavin Princess Beats Asake To The Number 1 Position On Apple Music Charts With ‘Rush.’
Nigerian young and talented Afrobeat singer and songwriter Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, has surpassed Asake to claim the top spot on the Apple Music charts with her recent hit song “Rush.”
With “Rush,” Ayra Starr has solidified her position as the country’s “Sabi girl,” dominating Apple Music’s top songs charts.
As Mavin Records’ self-proclaimed “Sabi girl,” Ayra Starr, works her way to the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs charts, it has indeed become a battle of the young blood.
Although the Top Songs chart for Apple Music Nigeria differs from the Top 100 chart, it is important to keep in mind that the former always acts as a guide for the positions of songs on the latter.

Additionally, the Top Songs chart is updated before the Top 100, indicating that Rush by Ayra Starr is the current No. 1 song in the country.
Rush has now overthrown Asake’s reign on the top songs chart, with the YBNL singer’s Joha ranking as the second top song. This comes after the record had moved from the fourth position to third on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 100 charts.
