Portable disqualified by The Headies Organizers for threatening co-nominees

The Headies Awards 2022 organizers disqualified Portable for threatening to kill his co-nominees.
The Headies disqualified Habeeb Okikiola known as Portable to send a message about not accepting irresponsible and vulgar statements.
The music industry expects all-around greatness, and it’s crucial for young performers to be role models with professional responsibility, civility, and respect for others.
Portable was disqualified due to social media misdeeds, according to organizers.
Recall that on May 25, 2022, he threatened to kill, hurt, or cause harm to the other nominees in the same categories he was nominated for. Go Headies

Portable was nominated for ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ at the 2022 Headies.
Other ‘Rookie of the Year’ nominees are Av, Fave, Magixx, and Ugocci.
In the second category, he’s up against Bella Shmurda, Mohbad, Naira Marley, and others.
The ‘Zazuu’ singer sent a warning on Instagram to whoever wins the 2022 Headies Award over him.
Not happy with Portable’s statement, prize organizers quickly replied:
“We have notified the Nigeria police of Mr. Okokiola’s actions to fellow nominees. Also, demand for the immediate retraction of the video as well as a written apology to nominees in both categories and to The Headies has been made.
“Should Mr. Okikiola fail to meet our demands, we will not only disqualify him from participating in The Headies but also enforce the instrumentality of the law.
“The general public are hereby implored to disregard the video and stop the dissemination of the same in the public space,” The Headies noted.
The organizers announced Portable’s disqualification on Tuesday via Instagram, posting the letter below:
