Though Tems has previously charted on Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Essence’ alongside Wizkid, ‘Fountain’ with Drake, and Future’s ‘Wait For U’ which debuted top of the chart, ‘Free Mind’ is her first entry as a lead artist.
She now joins Ckay and Burna Boy as the only Nigerians with a solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Tems also had four entries on the Billboard Hot 100 list, equaling Wizkid as the Nigerian artist with the most.
She currently has two songs on the chart as her collaboration with Future and Drake ‘Wait For U’ is charting at number 5 this week.
‘Free Mind’ was released off Tems’ 2020 EP ‘For Broken Ears’.
