Olamide achieves New Spotify Milestone With the “Carpe Diem” project.

The rapper becomes the first African rapper to hits this new achievement.
Nigerian veteran street-hop rapper and music mogul, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, known professionally as Olamide, has hit a new career milestone on Spotify with his “Carpe Diem” album.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020, the highly-rated Nigerian recording artist, songwriter, and entertainer releases a 12-track body of work titled “Carpe Diem” to his fans and the music community.
The album, which featured Omah Lay, Bella Shmurda, Phyno, Bad Boy Timz, Peruzzi, and Fireboy DML, debuted on the Apple Music Top 100 Charts in several countries around the world.

The YBNL Nations headline act, Olamide’s ‘Carpe Diem’ album has crossed a continental milestone. The body of work has amassed over 100 million views on the streaming platform, Spotify.
This feat makes Baddo the first rapper to attain these heights in Africa. ‘Carpe Diem’ happens to be Olamide’s 11th studio album.
Following its release, the project had charted in multiple countries and in October 2021, it had gathered over half a million streams across all platforms.
On the 5th of July, music aggregate blog Album Talks announced Olamide’s achievement, making him the first African rapper to reach these heights.
