Gyakie discloses how she was under pressure to release a song bigger than “Forever”.

The singer made this known in an interview on Cape Coast-based radio station in Ghana.
Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Jackline Acheampong, known professionally as Gyakie, has revealed that she was under pressure to release another song that would surpass her debut single, “Forever.”
Recall, In 2021, singer Gyakie released her debut EP, titled “SEED.” “Forever” was one of the songs from her SEEP EP that took the world by storm.
The song gained popularity and left Ghana’s borders. After Nigerians fell in love with her track, Gyakie collaborated on a remix with Omah Lay.
Speaking in an interview with Amnasan Krakye on Cape Coast-based radio station, the young songstress disclosed that after her first song “Forever” went viral, there was pressure on her to release another hit song.

She said:
“It got to a point when there was that pressure on me to release a song which is bigger than forever but it didn’t get to me because I’m also doing my part of the work.”
“By recording good music and promoting it as much as I can so obviously when you release a song which becomes very big everyone expects the next ones to be good songs even if it’s not big.
“So I used to have that pressure but I don’t have it anymore because I have psyched myself that if I want to drop a song so far as the music is good I’m not supposed to be triggered to think whether to drop it or not”.
