Fans of the Afrobeat and Afropop genres rejoiced after two international football stars, Jesse Lingard and Memphis Depay recently appreciated Asake’s Sungba and Young John’s Dada respectively.
Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard was recorded dancing to Asake monster’s hit song, Sungba, in a viral video that was posted on social media.
The footballer hit it off with Sungba in a car, describing it as a wonderful experience on Snapchat.
A number of fans reacted positively to the video of the Manchester United player dancing to Asake’s song.

Still on Nigerian Afrobeat getting a global recognition, Barcelona striker, Memphis Depay in a clip shared on his Instastory, was all smiles as he sang along and made body movements in rhythm to the beats of Young John’s song titled Dada.
It was gathered that Depay and his teammate were celebrating their return to Netherlands’ national team in the viral video.
