Talented singer and performer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, has achieved and set a new career record in the Nigerian music industry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
On Monday, May 9, 2022, Vocalist Tems set a new milestone for Nigerian music on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The singer officially becomes the first and only female Nigerian artist to ever top the Hot 100 chart following her feature on Future’s hit song ‘Wait For U’ alongside Drake.
This is not the first time the Grammy-nominated singer would be making her appearance on the Hot 100 chart; the singer with Wizkid’s ‘Essence‘ alongside Justin Bieber hit number 9 while her duet with Drake, titled ‘Fountains,’ peaked at number 26.
