Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer-songwriter Gregory Bortey Newman, popularly known as King Promise, has expressed his disappointment at Wizkid’s loss at the recently held 64th Grammy Awards.
The Ghanaian superstar didn’t hold back on his dissatisfaction at the recording academy.
Wizkid, the Nigerian Afrobeats Superstar, lost in two categories at the 2022 Grammys, and his Ghanaian counterpart believes it should not have happened.
King Promise, who recently held his first headline concert in Lagos, made it known that the recording academy’s decision to ignore Big Wiz was “Whack”.

In an interview with BEAT FM, the singer-songwriter went on to say that Wizkid has only scratched the surface of his talent and that he has more outstanding quality in the works for his fans.
