When it’s your time, it’s your time, as this song demonstrated. When it’s your time, it’s your time, as this song demonstrated. “Kukere” was Iyanya’s breakthrough song years after winning Project Fame.
Iyanya was the indisputable breakout star of 2012, and his song was so widespread that your grandmother is likely to know the lyrics.
First of All- Olamide
First and foremost, YBNL’s Olamide is no stranger to the hitmaking game. ‘First of All,’ his single, was released in 2012, at the height of the ‘Azonto‘ frenzy. We don’t need to say much more; the song was fantastic; we know this since it’s currently playing in your brain.
Take Banana – D’Prince
Charles Enebeli, better known by his stage name D’Prince, is a well-known Afropop artist who released the song “Take Banana” in 2012, which was released during his time at Mavin Records.
Because of the sexual music video, the song was banned. This did not, however, prevent the song from being hit and various remixes from being created.
Ihe Neme — 2Baba
While jamming to ‘Ihe Neme,’ released in 2012, 2Baba provided us a wonderful experience. ‘Ihe Neme‘ was a dancehall anthem for all party animals, as it lit up dance floors at all times and in all places.
Like to Party- Burna Boy
Burna Boy was just a lovely man with a colourful vintage shirt and round glasses looking to have a good time before the African Giant title, Outsiders fan base, and Grammy Award.
“Like to party” was his major breakout song which was off his commercially successful; debut album, “L.I.F.E.”

Kako Bi Chicken — Reminisce
When Reminisce popped up on the scene, it was evident that he was in a class of his own.
Reminisce was among the rising crop of Indigenous rappers that was taking over the mainstream airwaves.
“Kako Bi Chicken” produced by Sarz was a song that hinted at the potential Reminisce was.
