Nigerian singer and songwriter Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, known professionally as Mayorkun, has revealed how he met Davido and how his relationship with the 30BG boss blossomed.
The singer discloses this in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on his program #With Chude.

The Mayor of Lagos reveals that he was working in a bank before he started music that his first song “Eleko” was a true-life story with his grandma.
He described how the 30BG boss had contacted him on Twitter and requested his WhatsApp number in order to communicate further.
He said:
At first I sent the wrong number. The time he did the retweet and everything it was around 10 pm and i stayed in Ajah, from Ajah to Lekki at that time was 2000 naira.
During the interview with Chude, the “Back In Office” hitmaker also discloses how he had to borrow his transport fare to Davido’s house to record his first song.
