American rapper, Fat Joe has weighed in on Nigerian singer, BNXN using the first name of Jamaican reggae star, Buju Banton as his former stage name.
According to Fat Joe, there is only one musician in the world known as Buju, and that artist is Buju Banton, the Jamaican reggae sensation.
He spoke during an interview while weighing in on the issue of mixed identities between Nigerian singer, BNXN (Buju) and Buju Banton.
According to Fat Joe, he’s been hearing of an artiste in Africa going by the name Buju, but the only person he knows by that name is Jamaica’s Buju Banton.

This comes days after the Nigerian musician changed his name from Buju to BNXN.
The singer in a video announcement he shared on Twitter, stated that the name change became necessary as he got mistaken for another Jamaican singer known as Buju Banton.
