Over the years, Davido has given platforms to many music artists who are in need of a boost.
Mp3bullet.ng presents Artists who Davido helped without signing them to his Label
Davido set a record in 2021 when he raised around N200,000 million by requesting his friends and followers to send him money.
Davido is not only a Nigerian superstar but a global one as well. Throughout his decade-long career, he has aided many others, including artists and other professionals, in reaching their goals.
As a result, it’s not unexpected that he was able to raise nearly $400,000 from what began as a joke in just a few hours.
To get a sense of Davido’s influence, take a look at some of the top artists he supported without signing them to his label.

MC Galaxy
MC Galaxy used to be a comedian and dancer before he became a musician. If you check Iyanya’s Kukere music Video, you’ll notice that he’s doing his thing.
You can’t talk about MC Galaxy’s success story without mentioning Davido’s name.
In 2012, MC Galaxy won N500,000 in a phoney dancing competition at Davido’s event. Davido’s career was in its early stages at the time, and this stunt helped Mc Galaxy get some notoriety.
The following year, in 2013, MC Galaxy and Davido collaborated on Nek Unek.
The song catapulted the dancer/comedian to stardom on a national scale. Only Sekem should surpass Nek Unek as MC Galaxy’s second-biggest hit.
Runtown
Runtown began his music career in 2010, but it wasn’t until 2014 that he got his big break. He released Gallardo with Davido at the start of that year, and it quickly became one of the biggest songs in the Nigerian music industry.
Gallardo received the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards’ Best Collaboration of the Year Award. Davido was the talk of the town at the time, having released his mega-hit Skelewu the year before.
The song was the first single from Runtown’s Ghetto University album, and it was a huge hit.
Tekno
Tekno deserves the most of the credit for his accomplishment. He’s on our list, though, since Davido gave him a head start. Tekno rose to prominence as a Triple MG artist with his singles “Dance” and “Anything“.
However, before joining Triple MG, Tekno was signed to K-Money Entertainment, where he released his first official single. “Holiday” was the name of the song, and Davido was featured on it.
Tekno will produce If for Davido four years later, and it will go on to be one of his biggest songs to date.

Lyta
You should be aware of Lyta’s backstory. The young man was signed to Olamide’s YBNL Nation but quit after only a year due to conflicts with Baddo himself. After quitting YBNL, he dropped Monalisa.
According to Davido, he learned of Lyta’s departure from YBNL and feels obligated to help the singer. He approached the singer about a possible collaboration, and the result was the Monalisa remix.
Davido also paid for the song’s video shoot in Dakar. This cooperation with OBO helped to reintroduce the self-made crooner to the public eye.
